Lucas Scobie is from Blackall, Queensland. He was until last week working on a contract mustering team in the Kimberley Ranges, W.A. Lucas’ 4 wheel mustering bike literally blew up on him a long way from anywhere. Fortunately his fellow ringers were not too far away when it happened. Lucas has suffered serious burns to much of his body and is now set for a long recovery in Perth’s Fiona Stanley Hospital.
I was able to meet Lucas today… he is one very lucky cowboy. Mum, Jane has flown over from central Queensland to be with Lucas and the foundation, along with the kind assistance from WA’s polocrosse community are doing what we can to make Jane’s stay easier. We also purchased a new iPad for Lucas to pass the hours in hospital. Wishing him the very best for a successful and not too painful recovery.
