Meet Logan Treasure, his mum Kristie, his dad, Jake and Logan’s great grandfather Peter Pagoda.
Peter is a well known and loved wool buyer in, particularly around the great wool and sheep town of Narrogin where Pete has serviced for half a century.
Thanks to the actions of Peter’s wool colleagues Russell Fraser of Techwool and Peter Howie from @Dysonjoneswool, the MMWIF were alerted to the challenges Logan’s family face in their battle with Leukaemia.
Logan was diagnosed with this insidious condition at just 2 years old where the family thought their nightmare was over 18 months later with an ‘all clear’. Unfortunately in October last year, aged 5, the leukaemia returned.
Logan is doing well though and hopefully soon he can continue on with his life as a happy, energetic little boy.
The foundation his chipped in to help the Treasure’s with day to day expenses along with a family holiday when all is well. Logan’s best mate Hudson must also get a mention… in support of his buddy he shaved his hair off, raising $2000 along the way..
On behalf of this great foundation, in honour of the great Michael Manion, it was an absolute privilege and joy to meet the Treasure family today and give them the news.
It’s been a tough year(+) for everyone and the foundation thanks everyone who has donated or supported us. We will be back in serious fundraising mode in the new season so we can keep providing help to ‘rural families in need’. If you are in a position to help please donate or even better a bale we can auction later this year. Let your broker know and they will work with us to organise a special charity sale later this year.
In the meantime… Beat this thing Logan !!
